A Circuit which gives an output directly propotional to the integral of the input is called an inegrator.
As we apply a square wave as an input, during the positive halfcycle the voltage across the capacitor charge to maximum.During the negative halfcycle capacitor discharges to zero. This is repeated until we get a triangle wave as output. At zero frequency the capacitor ast as an open circuit and we get an output same as the input .When the frequency increases the capacitive reactance decreases and so we get output voltage as zero. Conditions fulfilled by an integrator are :-

- The time constant RC of the circuit should be larger than time period of the input signal. RC>>T.
- The value of RC shouldnot be smaller than ten times of Xc,. RC>10Xc.
